WHY IT'S ACCURATE
The band or tag is what makes it accurate
Anyone can guess a length from a photo. Your Drift band or net tag gives FishTale a known size right there in the frame to measure against, and that's what turns a rough guess into a real measurement.
The app zooms in on your band or tag and you tap to confirm its ends, so it measures the fish pixel-by-pixel, then cross-checks that against the AI's own estimate to give you a confidence level. No band or tag in the shot? You still get an AI estimate, flagged as a rougher guess.

What began as a craft between sisters turned into the heart of how we measure fish on the water. No two are exactly alike.
